Transient IX

The Story

Cold and wind are no strangers in Iceland. However, the ferocious spray of mist that emanates in all directions from the base of Skógafoss certainly intensifies the chill in one’s bones.

On this particular day, the conditions were quite dreary. A heavy layer of clouds was moving quickly across the sky as I set up my tripod and began to compose an image. It was at that moment that the clouds broke just enough for a burst of sunlight to be cast directly on the mist beneath the waterfall, creating one of the most vibrant rainbows I had ever seen. Unfortunately, the clouds were moving so quickly that the rainbow would dissipate in mere seconds and—after several attempts—I still wasn’t able to capture it as vividly as I was seeing it with my own eyes.

It wasn’t until the 9th shot that the image did the scene justice. A reminder of just how transient beautiful moments can be.

Open Edition

As the name suggests, Open Edition prints are not limited to a fixed number of runs or sizes and they offer a great way to collect prints at a lower price point.

Paper

This Open Edition is printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Deep Matte Velvet which is a professional paper with a deep matte non-reflective surface that feels velvety soft. Custom Presentation Options

Due to the complexity of matting and framing options, it is not feasible to select custom mat and frame options via the online ordering process; therefore, by default, prints are shipped without mats and/or frames and it is the buyer’s responsibility to mat and frame their Open Edition print should they choose to.

If you are interested in ordering an Open Edition print that will be shipped in a mat and/or frame, before placing your order, please contact me and I will personally work with you to find presentation options that best suit the work and the location it will be displayed. Please note that custom presentation options will incur an additional cost.

Shipping

Open Edition prints with dimensions up to 24″ x 36″ are shipped in stay-flat boxes. This eliminates the need to roll prints in tubes, thus ensuring that your print arrives in a presentation-ready condition. Please allow up to four (4) business days of processing time for all new orders. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email with a tracking code that you can use to monitor the shipment status of your order and determine an estimated delivery date. Depending on the shipping method you choose during checkout, it may take up to 2 weeks from the date you placed the order to receive your print. I sincerely appreciate your patience.
